How Brandllet was born
Hi!
My name is Cielomar Puccio. I am currently a ballet dancer, mother, wife, and attorney founder of Brandllet.
Why Brandllet?
How did it started?
Why mix ballet with law? Let me explain.
I was born in the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. When I was 12 years old I started the journey of ballet. I call it a journey because it is an art in which you train every day with the goal of being better than your past self to achieve perfection. Perfection that will never be achieved, thus the word journey, but will always be your goal. During my journey in ballet, I had the opportunity to train under wonderful and professional dancers and teachers. I even expanded my knowledge by taking classes in other dance genres like contemporary dance, jazz, ballroom dance, tap… but I always kept my true passion, classical ballet.
When I got older, I had the opportunity of participating as a dance judge, working as a teacher, choreographing pieces, collaborating with other dancers in their projects, working in various dance schools, and others, and all revolving around my ballet passion. After graduating High School, I completed a BA in Advertising and Public Relations and got accepted to study law at the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus.
Law became my second passion.
Studying law was very time consuming and difficult for me. It required a lot of time studying, reading, being passive. Something that I was not used to. At times this became frustrating. So, during my time at law school, my escape from all my studies and my relaxing time was my ballet classes which I never stopped taking. This escape helped me get through law school.
After graduating and becoming a licensed attorney in Puerto Rico I started working in different legal fields trying to find what I felt for ballet in law. I worked in Family Law, Estate Law, Probate Law, Civil Law, Medical Malpractice Law, Notary... I realized I liked law, but I always felt my happiest when in the afternoons I ran to make it on time to my ballet class. That’s where I felt liberated and completely content. I didn’t find that in any legal field.
Fast forward to 8 years ago…
when I married a Miami resident and moved to Florida. I started in the Federal field of Immigration Law and of course looking for a place where I could continue taking my beloved ballet classes. I found a few good places to take my ballet classes. I was happy. The rest could wait.
After a few years, during one morning in a class, one of my classmates was searching for an Immigration lawyer to help her with some legal issues. I offered my help and all of a sudden, a light bulb moment.
I couldn’t believe it!
Not more compromise!
I found what I was looking!
What if I concentrate my legal knowledge to advocate and help my beloved dance peers/community? What if I started a law firm which it’s goal was to help dancers all around the world with their legal issues! That will be like…
PERFECT!
My two passions united in one. No more rushing to dance school for my escape but working 24/7 in what I loved. Of course, I will always take my dance class, lol. And that is how Brandllet was born and here I am.
A ballet dancer made attorney made dancer attorney out there to help all of you dancers and artists with your legal problems in Immigration, Trademark, and Copyright so that you can succeed in OUR passion.
Now, why only Immigration, Trademark, and Copyright? Well, I wish I could do everything but law is a very big field. You have to achieve specific knowledge and experience to be the best in it. No one can be good in everything, so I decided to concentrate in these three fields. This way you will have a good attorney with specific knowledge in these three fields of law and with knowledge of the world you come from DANCE!
And as Martha Graham has said “dance is the secret language of the soul”. Keep dancing!
